The practice has been here since November 2004. It was designed and built by David (who is one of the partners).

The aim was quite simple. To deliver good quality spectacles, combined with great service at great prices.

David Canton FBDO

David has been in the optical industry now for the best part of 20 years. He is now one the partners of the business and is a qualified Dispensing Optician.

David's experience in optics has taken him from manufacturing of spectacle lenses, to Sales Manager for both small independent and multi-national companies including Carl Zeiss Vision.

The last 7 years has seen David working in practice. David's flair is choosing the perfect frame to suit face shape, skin tone, vocation and of course budget. Diagnosis of varifocal issues and designing bespoke rimless are two of David's particular areas of expertise.

Lydia Westwood FBDO

Lydia lives in Cirencester with David and is also a qualified Dispensing Optician, they work alongside the rest of the team ensuring the highest level of experience and service.

Lydia is very enthusiastic. She takes time to find what is technically relevant and cosmetically perfect for every patient for the best and most comfortable fit. She has very high standards and along with her artistic flair and fashion sense, helps to make certain the right frame is chosen for you.

Emma Avis

Emma is our receptionist who offers you a friendly welcome. She makes the appointments, prepares the clinics along with general repairs. Having a lot of experience with glasses due previously working in optical glazing labs, Emma has a unique insight helping with tachnical frame selection.

She also keeps Lydia, Ian and David supplied with tea and coffee along with anyone else who wants one.

Ian Wright BSc(Hons) MCOptom

Ian is an Optometrist who has been in practice for over 30 years. He qualified from The City University (London). He prides himself on giving honest, straightforward advice about your eyecare needs whether that be straightforward glasses, varifocals, contact lenses, childrens eyecare or medical referal. Ian is a primary care practicioner working alongside the NHS.

Ian lives locally with his wife Wendy who is a contact lens optician. They have 4 grown up children.
